This plant is situated in the center area of Hua-lien County. In the past, sugar production is one of the crucial industries of Hua-lien. It stopped the operation in March 2002, and turned into a recreational park that records the sugar production development history in Taiwan. The used sugar machinery and Japanese style residence were preserved and open for the public to visit. Sugar plant sells various kind of ice cream and ice cubes, that are the must-order hot merchandise for the travelers.
Besides the famous ice products, courteous accommodation services are available. There are 61 rooms in total, and can welcome approximately 200 visitors. Additionally, Travel Service Center and Entertainment Center, including karaoke, fitness room, foot massage, billiard room and etc, are offered as well. |
